Over 2 months since an update, whats been going on? well, iIve been busy..doing erm..stuff and i haven't really had the time, needless to say as the summer nights begin to draw in I'm feeling a bit more obliged to sit down and do stuff..that and well, i have some stuff planned that will require the site to be right up to date.. but more of that when I get confirmation
A ton of updates for you, first from the poison and illiterate pen of yours truly we have Blessed, a story of how it could have been, how terrible my life was and really an excuse to lay into Lydia for being a dozy goth twat(I felt the need to name her because although it as subtle as a punch in the face..she's a bit S-L-O-W.)
My now legendary state of the Scene in Newcastle rant, in the good old days I used to get death threats because of these...nowadays all the rockers have sold out and become their parents I get them supping coffee and looking over their Observers and engaging in considered debate.. I say 'fuck you grandad! You weren't there and didn't know what it was like!..are you going to eat that danish?'
And my first dabble in DJaying, at the eygpt cottage and my second in Trillians( how cool is that from there to the 7 best rock bar in Britian in 6 days) yeah i've become part of the establishment I hold in disdian
From the Baron we have loads.. Phantom wanking..I was hoping it was Fanta wanking but nope.
His escapades in Spain parts one and two, that include nudity..of a most graphic and uncalled for nature
The joys or erm Joy Street.. have you ever been living with an member of the security forces in an area that is notorious for terrorists who don't like punk rock?

Sorry about the down time.. I could say it was a technical problem, it wasn't I was just angry..for a change, but all that kinda turned itself around pretty sharpish..It's amazing what a lot of alcohol, mates and laughing until beer comes out of your nose
Also glad that I've stopped being an angry drunk and women still confuse me
anway a new rant written in haze of headache on the way down from Glasgow, the deliruim took me to a sick place where TV heroes hump Animals and they get rewarded for it

God I have been bored, it took my 2 hours to upload the first update to the radio show in over year, and then I went and broke the scripting, so the window doesn't resize and float... beaten, dejected, gasping for a cuppa, I'll leave it as it is for the moment. But you lucky people can still listen to my' taste' in music and the tracks from bands I have reviewed.

A month without an update..first up colorteck fucked up and deleted a lot of stuff, so i had to go through and upload it all again (yeah that was really fucking exciting) sickened by the whole fruitlessness of doing this I got sick of it and decided to have a break..well when I say break I actually mean doing constant replica website a content management sytem and finishing off the NISC site..so good ole LH has been on hold for a bit.
I don't know how anyone could possibly get sick of doing this for a job eight and half hours a day and then spending most of your evenings do it
Of course I have stuff to go here, I have seven rants, four rants from xBaronx, three CD review,s four film reviews and the radio show..I just couldn't be bothered..I promise (cross someone elses heart and hope they die) that the majority of the content will be on by the weekend

Went off to the Charnel House last night after a day of chewing the fat with the Prince of Darkness..it was an excellent night and I highly recommend that you pop along, I also picked up a copy of TWF fanzine which is a canny well produced fanzine that is the product of one very commited guy.
I also found out that I'm actually a goth :(

Finally got around to fixing some of the videos, I'm onto Ozzy..need to take a load down because they have moved.
I've also been sorting out the review bit for all these bands that keep threatening to send me CD's
i haven't got any of them yet because well it's not fair is it to get free cd's without having the space or the time to the review them.I'll roll out some of the people who have been quieter of late to do some of the work.
Another 6 Newcastle pub reviews pending and further 15 for Belfast i just haven't had the motivation of late.
The radio show is either days away or months, i've finally made through the bulk of my CD's and I'm onto my last shelf , but it makes me want to weep

I'm proud to say that Little Jeff was my friend, not just the DJ who played the tunes at the best club of the time. CubaCuba kept the flame of rock alive in the darkness after the mayfair closed, when all other venues refused to host a rock night, and Jeff filled that place every Friday and Saturday. I'm sure that without his tireless efforts Newcastle would have a bare shadow of the rock scene it has today. I know a great deal of the people on TL are big fans of legends. Again, without Little Jeff, it's probable that Legends wouldn't be a rock club at all, and if it was, it probably wouldn't be half the club it is today. Little Jeff was a DJ, he was an inspiration, but most of all he was a friend. I'd love to see *all* of you out on this night to show your support, both for the memory of Jeff and for the good causes that the proceeds of this event will go to.

Everything Ends
Myself and My lady friend split up yesterday, it was good whilst it lasted (2 years and seven months my second longest realtionship) It hurts like buggery and I blame it all on me getting my haircut. Thanks to everyone who has shown support to me, it has come from some of the most unusual quarters, it is suprising and really appreciated. Just to clarify that it was no ones fault, it was done with no malice and Tam is hurting as much as me and I would like to think that Tam is as much your friend as I am.

Excuse the silence on the updates front, i've turned my attention once more to the london NISC site, which has caused me a few problems because I am trying to move hosts and the message board refuses pointblank to shift.
However in preparation for the move, I've been sorting out A forum for the site (which no one will use) Blogs(which only the most fervent and coerced goths will use) and you'll be pissing your pants to hear the return of our very own hosted radio station, you can see a demo of it here ,it only has 20 song at the moment, but I'm dedicating about a GiG to it on the new server and because the site is easier to upload and amend it will be getting updated on a bi weekly basis.on a less technical note I have about another six rants to upload from the usual suspects

first things first Dougals now a Dad..I was sent a random text with lots of figures on it that don't make since to me because I was educated in metric. However, what I could understand they have had a boy called Luke. So congratulations all round.
Leaving hope radio has been taken out the back in a sack and beaten with shovels, doused in petrol and set alight just before we chucked it down a well. It may seem a bit harsh but I'm sorting out a Podcast/Shoutcast thingy majig when I move the collective of sites I run onto one server.
A new site appealing to the alternative sorts in the North East called NE Alternative has recently went live, it's pretty swish and has the backing of a number of established forums in the area. So pop over join and do your thang (though they did call us a small site..attacking our prowess and all that:( )
The Belfast Pub Guide has just had 39 pubs added to it, please excuse the lack of photos and contact details these will all be appaering in due course..i've also managed to get someone to write them for me so i'm actually allowed to give my thoughts on them.
i've got some Leaving Hope stickers, which I would like to thank her majesty for..god knows what i'm going to do with them..
Spide.co.uk takes a step closer to being launched..but more on that when i can find three hundred quid

The quest to fix the videos is on going i'm now as far as Linkin Park Covering Wish this is as dull as when the pub guide stopped working then started working then stopped because i was fiddling around with it(the guide) when I was drunk...
I've also found an old error page from one of my very very old sites(when i just discovered the wonders of flash), which is now the 404 error page for Leaving Hope.I'll do something more death to false metal when i can be bothered

A bit of a landmark today after 8 months of me updating rebuilding and generally trying to be happy with the way the site is, I have finally completed the last major part of it (well when I say completed I mean that it works)
Yes without further I do I unleash onto you the Leaving Hope Video section. Which contains no fewer than 160 music video's from everyone from Aphex Twin to Wolfsheim. Please note however that some of these videos are not work safe, and they are currently stored on an external site, so some of the download times can be a bit slow. i also need to fix some of the pages so they fit correctly on the central pane.If you want a band added or you would like you own band added please contact me

Been busy month...a very busy month.. a stumbled drunkly into my 30's with a curry and an awful lot of ale, then avoided a hangover by getting more lashed on the Saturday and the Sunday, met up with my old house mate who i haven't seen in two years..and drank.
Then I was on strike..so me and the Prince Of Darkness went out for a few loseners in Trillians..sixty quid later, two victories in pool and some thoroughly obscure request to the DJ(sorry whoever you were) i think i went home
I've also been redesigning our intranet site at work and trying to get myself promoted and a prolonged damage limitation exercise

Yeah yeah I know, it's been over two months since I updated, this is due, in full to the fact that my PC kept shitting itself and dying. However the plus side of any such event is that it has allowed me to stockpile crap to chuck on here. so for your enjoyment we have a new rant from Dougal, tonnes of new MP3's, new links and a new CD review of Saul Williams album .

Two whole weeks since i updated..It's because I moved house..for the fourth time in under two years..Mutter.
Can't remember off the top of my head how many tracks i have added to the site i think it is thirteen or soemthing, of note are Sponge, who are class, and Anemo, whose track Johnny 5 has just become the theme for my house move.

I don't no what's wrong with me recently i keep seem to be finding new music that suits my mood down to a Tee. The latest discovery is Racoon Raver Records. which has a Xenotonic EP available for download. the music has this retro haunting school maths program quality. and is fitting in nicely with my current tube way army fixation. Down load it support and tell your friends about it

Another 12 MP3s Added and we have some real bueaties on here for you eight tracks fromCerulan and they are really really good as is Andrew Fadness, an acoustic funk meister if ever their was one.
Music like this pisses me off, because they are clearly excellent artists who won't ever make a living out of it, yet god awful girls aloud can go on and get their tits out and make a fucking fortune.

I've Had one of those days where i have had loads of stuff to go here and two other sites to finish but instead i have stared blankly into nothing all day..it is only now that i can be bothered to update the site
Another benchmark has been reached today leaving hope radio has been listened to for over 500 hours.
Another Ten or so MP3's added, also fixed PEZ's stuff, and it is well worth the listen. I am genuinely impressed, download serious slumping now. Keep you eyes peeled for PEZ coming out of forced retirement to impress you all with his mixes in the near future.
On the subject of MP3's some American company sends me six emails a day loaded with links to free tracks and weird and wonderful bands so looks like the MP3 section might need rejigged.

Just taken a look at the stats , Leaving Hope has allegedly had 300480 hits in just over a year that's not bad really for a site that is crap and was down for two months. might be something to do with the other two sites I host on here but it still looks good

The radio show has been updated.
More free music has been added and the page has had to be moved because it was becoming a bit unwieldy, it now includes some tracks from Absurd Minds, and 500 NIN premixes. Also to get away from all this rock shite I have added Pez's dance/drum'n'bass mish mash to the mix, from Happiest Joy
Twilight and Matt, now have info posted about them on the About page, I am also hosting Twilights web site Origami Kitty

Little Jeff passed away today, he is one of icons of the Newcastle rock scene, from his time in the Mayfair to his almost nomadic lifestyle trying to find a venue to continue his ‘unfashionable’ taste in music.
He has had his critics (I have been one of them) but I always appreciated what he did for the Rock/ALT Scene in Newcastle and his sets have been the soundtrack to nine years I have lived here.
He is sorely missed.

I've added a couple of Songs to the media section, i know I'm probably breaking some sort of net rule by linking directly from this site to the download files. If i am I'll have to face the rage of Beatallica, The Dangerfields and Bullet Union they contact me and I will remove them, just doing my bit for what i think are three fantastic bands.
I've also been fiddling around with quicktime and other wonders to put videos on the site, I have two demos currently up, the QT one is not available because it would total batter my bandwidth and storage space

A rather big update courtesy of the xBaronx including 6 new gig reviews, 2 new album reviews and 23 new rants because of all this i have had to amend the layout of the site again. with two new links on the main menu, media and guide. some stuff is pending on both but it needed tidied up a wee bit. Rants layout has changed, now it is sorted by person

Constant Replica DVD mag is on the cusp of being launched, it's not available in the shops at the moment but it will be available in HMV and virgin in the very near future. a launch party is taking place you can find out all the details by reading the press release. Get your fingers out of your holes and support this, the lovely Matt writes for this site and is doing this for free because he feels that passionate about the music and the concept.

Pub guide has been redesigned, each pub has it's own page, photo and contact details, i have just finished converting the old one to this format, so it probably has some errors knocking around on it
New, easier to navigate theme has been added to the site, i have a load of these which most of where false starts so I may as well chuck them up.
I've formatted the rants correctly, it seems to revert every time amend it but it should be fixed now

Redesigned the NISC Site so i've been fucking around on the net all day and keep stumbling upon new links, hence the flurry of updates
Tainted lover has had a substantial face lift and looks a lot better , a lot less goth

I found a really shit screen saver I did over a year ago so i have chucked that up ...haven't even tested so if it doesn't work meh whadda do. Screen saver is available here

Four new pub reviews added, that's fifty four in total for newcastle with a further 40 pending i am going to have to re-design the whole part of the site to include contact details and photos' links etc and feed back..
