Part of the ‘quilted camel’ complex, just across from the Akenside Traders at the bottom of the Side in the Quayside, in a fantastic looking old building, inside it is set up like an old house. In the back room it has range you will often find me huddled round on a minging day. Interestingly it is Newcastle ’s only entirely vegetarian restaurant, and the food is of a high standard and you get mountains of it. Unfortunately the beer is not very good in it. But you can nip trough a side door to the Redhouse for a shandy
